Refund policy

1.1The free tier is the hosted product with a smaller monthly compound allowance and no priority on the queue. It is not a demonstration: the screens it runs are the screens the paid tier runs, on the same models, and their results are yours. It exists so that the decision to pay is made on evidence rather than on a description.

1.2If the free tier does not tell you what you need to know, ask us before you subscribe rather than after. We would rather answer a question than process a refund.

2.1If you purchase outside your trade, business or profession, you have 14 days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw without giving any reason, under articles 52 and following of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005), implementing Directive 2011/83/EU.

2.2To withdraw, tell us in any clear statement — an email to info@discoverapharma.com is sufficient. We will refund all payments received within 14 days of being informed, using the same means of payment you used.

2.3The law allows a trader to disapply this right for digital content supplied immediately, where the consumer expressly consented and acknowledged losing the right before supply began. We do not rely on that exception. Because the free tier is available to everyone, we see no reason to take the right away, and you keep it whether or not you have already run a screen.

3.1It is billed monthly and cancels for the next month, not the current one. Cancel from your account page at any time and you keep the paid tier until the end of the month you have already paid for. We do not charge again, and the account then continues on the free tier rather than closing.

3.2Deleting your account ends the subscription immediately, and the rest of the month is not refunded. Deletion and cancellation are different acts: cancelling leaves you the time you bought, deleting gives it up. The deletion screen states this before you confirm. If you want the remainder of the month, cancel first and delete at the end of it.

3.3Fourteen days from your first payment, no reason required. If within 14 days of first subscribing the service is not what your group needed, tell us and we refund that payment in full.

3.4Beyond 14 days, we refund where the service materially fails to do what this site says it does and we cannot put it right within a reasonable time.

3.5If the service is unavailable. We do not offer a service-level guarantee at this stage, and we do not pretend to one. Where the hosted service is unavailable for a substantial part of a month, tell us and we refund that month in proportion.

3.6A run we lose does not count against your allowance. If a restart, a deploy or a machine of ours dying under a screen means you never get the answer, that screen is not charged to your month — and if it was, tell us and we will put it back. A run that finished and gave a disappointing answer did happen, and it counts; that is clause 5.1.

4.1The statutory withdrawal right in clause 2 does not apply to business purchases. The following is our contractual policy instead.

4.2Fourteen days, no reason required. If within 14 days of purchase the Software is not what your group needed, tell us and we refund the Seats in full.

4.3Beyond 14 days, we refund where the Software materially fails to perform as documented and we cannot remedy it within a reasonable time. This is the remedy described in clause 8.2 of the terms.

4.4Annual Seats cancelled mid-term are refunded pro rata for whole unused months where the cancellation follows a failure on our part. We do not otherwise refund the unused part of a term you committed to.

5.1We cannot refund on the basis that a screen did not produce the scientific result you hoped for. DiscoveraVS makes predictions, the science page states what those predictions are measured against, and the free tier exists so this can be established before any money changes hands.

5.2Compute already spent is not refundable on its own. If a month's allowance has been used on screens that ran and returned results, that month was delivered, whatever the results said. Runs we lost are the exception, and they are clause 3.6.

5.3Professional services already delivered are not covered by this policy. Service engagements are scoped and priced separately, and their terms are set out in the written scope agreed before work begins.

6.1Email info@discoverapharma.com with the email address on the account, or your order reference for a licence. There is no form, and you do not have to justify yourself under clauses 2.1, 3.3 or 4.2.

6.2We aim to acknowledge within two working days and to process an approved refund within 14 days, to the original payment method.

6.3Card payments are handled by Stripe. Stripe can return a payment to the card it came from for a limited period after the charge, and once that period has passed a refund has to be made another way, which takes longer. Asking sooner is always faster than asking late.
